Marcus Bell

When internationally award winning photographer Marcus Bell started his Australian-based wedding and portrait photography business, Studio Impressions in 1996, his plan wasto establish a professional ‘boutique’ studio where quality and imagery excellence were given greater significance than profits.

Voted the number one Wedding Photography Studio in Australia in 2006, he has remained at the top of his profession for the past four years, ranking in the top 1%.

Recognized by BBC television as one of the top 10 wedding photographers in the world, is testament that he has achieved this goal.

Add to this the fact that only the year before Marcus had won the Epson AIPP Queensland Professional Photographer of the Year, the Queensland Professional Wedding Photographer of the Year, the Australian Institute of Professional Photographers (AIPP) Australian Wedding Photographer of the Year award and in 2008 repeated the same list of awards but added the title International Photojournalism Photographer of the Year along with the Grand Award at WPPI in the USA. Since 2006 Marcus has been apart of the prestigious Ambassador team for ADOBE.
Marcus has also recently be named in the "Top 10 wedding photographers in the world” by American Photo in 2011.

You would be right to assume that he holds an almost ‘magical’ key to success.

While Marcus’ fine art, story-telling and photo journalism matched with a natural flair and versatility is distinction of his creative prowess, he puts a strong emphasis on the final product and his clients.

I believe photographic quality is much more than the art of taking photographs. It also relies heavily on a high degree of being able to communicate the image into a final print which is then delivered to the clients, so it is essential for me to invest in progressively advanced equipment and the latest technologies, whilst still providing the highest quality and delivery of customer service.
